Rules and Regulations
1. TIMING
1.1 The contest runs in Oakville for residents of Oakville from 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday September 15, 2008 to 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday October 26, 2008.
2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1 To participate, log on to www.buckleyins.com and click the "Win $500 Gas Card" button.
2.2 To be eligible to win, an entrant must have satisfactorily completed all the information fields in the required manner,
obtained an insurance quotation through the website or via the telephone within the applicable six (6) weeks (12:00 a.m. Monday to 11:59 p.m.
Sunday) that the contest is running, as well as met the residence requirements set out in paragraph 1 above.
2.3 No purchase is necessary.
3. PRIZES AVAILABLE TO BE WON
3.1 Six (6) prizes of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) are available to be won during the six (6) week period of the
contest, being one prize of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each of the six (6) weeks of the contest period.
4. WINNER SELECTION
4.1 For the weekly prizes, on every Thursday after expiration of the applicable week during the contest, a random draw
will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the offices of Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd. from among all eligible online entries
received by 11:59 p.m. EST on the Sunday for the immediately preceding applicable week.
4.2 Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd. will contact the selected entrant by telephone within five (5) business days of the draw
date. In order to win, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question.
In the event that a selected entrant cannot be reached within the five (5) business days, or the selected entrant does not
correctly answer the mathematical skill testing question within five (5) business days thereafter,
the selected entrant will be deemed to have forfeited any rights to the prize and another entry will be selected from the
remaining eliglible entries. The chances of being selected are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received.
4.3 Details of the weekly winners will be displayed on the website.
5. GENERAL
5.1 This contest is open to all Oakville residents age 16 years of age or older, excluding employees, agents, representatives
and members of Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd. and its and their contest sponsors, and advertising and promotional
agencies as well as all such individuals; immediate family members with whom they reside.
5.2 Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged for other consideration or in lieu of the
awarded prize.
5.3 Prior to being awarded his/her prize, the winner must sign a standard release form which shall include confirmation of
compliance with the contest rules and regulations, and an acknowledgement that Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd.
and their contest sponsor and advertising and promotional agencies are not responsible for any claims or liabilities
arising out of any matter related to the contest and the prizes awarded.
5.4 By entering the contest, all entrants authorize Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd. and the contest organizers, to use their
name and/or statements about the prize for advertising purposes or for any other contest related purpose, without
remuneration or further notice.
5.5 Entries that are incomplete, illegible, obtained from an unauthorized source or recorded fraudulently are null and void
and ineligible to entitle the entrant to the prize, if selected.
5.6 Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd. and their contest organizers, and advertising and promotional agencies disclaim all
liability for invalid illegible, lost, stolen, damaged or late entries. All entries become the property of
Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd.
5.7 This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal legislation. Decisions of the contest organizers
are final and Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd. and their contest organizers, and advertising and promotional agencies
shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise in connection with the contest (including the
inability or failure to contact the winner(s) pursuant to paragraphs 4.2 above).
5.8 By entering the contest via the internet, entrants release Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd. their contest organizers and
advertising and promotional agencies from liability for any electronic problems that may arise from hardware breakdown,
software or computer program malfunction or the unavailability of lines.
5.9 Any reference to dollars means Canadian Dollars.
